Wine Tasting Class!

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=2862045583948

For all you facebook-ers, check out some footage from our very first wine-tasting class this past Thursday, taught by the wonderful Joël Corre!

The first wine we tasted (Chenin Blanc) was unfortunately corked (1/100 chance), but at least we received a lesson in identifying bad wine! The second was rouge Puyloubier from the Domaine Richeaume. Very rich. The third was my favorite, the "meilleur vin de Provence," Le Châteauneuf-du-Pape, named for the region. Spicy, rustic, puissant! The final wine (blanc) was Beaumes de venise (domaine des bernardins). In my opinion, though the sugar was all-natural from the grapes (muscats noirs), it was too sweet. I did really enjoy the aroma, though! As if the experience itself isn't great enough, if we pass the course at the end of the semester, we will receive a certificate of wine-tasting comptetence= our very own wine degree! :D
